Expressing strong resentment over the decision to bifurcate the Palakkad Railway Division to form a separate Salem Division, Kerala today said it will demand Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to stall the move.
The Centre has assured the Kerala government that it would reconsider the decision on formation of Salem railway division by bifurcating the Palakkad division in Kerala, state Law and Railways in-charge Minister M Vijayakumar informed the Assembly today.
