Pepper futures extended the declines amid sluggish physical as well as overseas demand. Lackluster activities in the global markets coupled with clear weather conditions in the major producing areas of South India have pressurised the prices.
The impasse over cardamom auctions, following the boycott by the traders over grading charges, is likely to end and indications are that the auctions may resume this week itself.
